BRONX PARK NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

 
Bronx Park Community Club Inc. (Bronx Park) operates and manages Bronx Park Community Centre and Clara Hughes Recreation Park.  BPCC is having its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 
 
Monday, April 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM 
Bronx Park Community Centre, 720 Henderson highway. 
 
Throughout the past seven (7) years Bronx Park has encountered significant challenges, and in that regard, the board members of Bronx Park are asking for a show of support from our community members. Without going into any detail at this time, it is imperative that we show Bronx Park Community Centre and Clara Hughes Recreation Park serve the whole community and will not be compromised or pressured by any one interest group. 
 
Bronx Park Community Centre and Clara Hughes Recreation Park are intended for use and enjoyment by all ages, and that is why it is important that we see support from the community as Bronx Park deals with challenges experienced since 2017. 
 
Show that you care by giving Bronx Park a few minutes of your time by attending our AGM on April 14, 2025. You will not be asked to volunteer for any positions, although you are welcome to do so, if you feel so inclined.

MINI SOCCER REGISTRATION

2025 Timbits Mini Soccer Season

Registration for players in the U4-6 (Born 2021 - 2019) will run March 5, 2025 - Monday, April 7th, 2025 via  http://bronxparkcc.rampregistrations.com/participant/2025micro    

Registration fee is $140.00 and the MSA fee is $18.05.  Registration is through Phoenix.  The late fee for registration is $50.00. 

Bronx Park CC is starting Timbits soccer games Monday, May 5th, 2025 and running to Wednesday, June 25th.  

 

COACHING REQUIREMENTS:

• Coaching requirements:

- Prior to the start of the season, each coach must apply for a name-based criminal record check from the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) system. Proof of submission must be provided to the club immediately upon application. Note that the City of Winnipeg Police or RCMP are the only approved providers of this service. This check MUST include the vulnerable sector check. (Sterling is NOT a recognized provider) Clubs shall be responsible for ensuring that a copy of the results of these checks are obtained as quickly as possible. - Prior to the start of the season, each coach must apply for a Child Abuse Registry Check (CAR). Proof of submission must be provided to the club immediately upon application. Clubs shall be responsible for ensuring that a copy of the results of these checks are obtained as quickly.

- Prior to the start of the season, each coach shall complete the Respect in Sport for Activity Leader course which is provided at no cost by Sport Manitoba. https://sportmanitoba.respectgroupinc.com/koala_final/start.jsp

- Prior to the start of the season, each coach shall provide proof of enrollment in the Active Start coaching course provided by the Manitoba Soccer Association. http://manitobasoccer.ca/page.php?page_id=115261

This course must be completed within 30 days of registering.

Phoenix Soccer will: • Provide one “Coach Training Session” prior to the start of the season.

This is in addition to any training provided to coaches as part of the Active Start course. •

Provide coaches with an electronic copy of suitable session plans prior to the start of the season

 

Players in the U7 - U18 (Born in the years 2007-2018) age groups looking to register for outdoor soccer will do so via the Central Registration Portal on the Winnipeg Phoenix FC website.  Please see their website for details.
